Fondly known as ‘Dragonland.’ After 22 radiant years, Magikana stands proud as the longest-standing Conscious Psy Gathering and Psytrance Festival in the UK.

The Magikana Story

Launched in 2002 as a free Psytrance festival celebrating the Queen’s Golden Jubilee. Magikana gathered crews from across the land and quickly became one of the earliest non-stop music festivals in the British Isles. Over time, it evolved into a fully licensed, all-encompassing festival, featuring an array of conscious psy music forms while staying true to its grassroots origins.

Though it hasn’t run continuously, Magikana lives in the collective memory as an authentic gathering of the tribes. Where music, magic, and community spirit converge under non-stop, high-quality sound design. Blessed with no neighbors for miles, the festival introduces revelers to some of the world’s finest Dragon Awakening Technology. Fueling a sacred fire of music until the very end of the gathering.

Magikana 2025 ~ Celebrating Under the Summer Crescent Moon

This year’s festival invites you to join us from Thursday, July 17 (Third Quarter Moon) and journey toward the Waning Crescent Moon (July 19–21) under the spectacular Perseids Meteor Shower, in the renowned Dark Skies of the Cambrian Mountains. The cosmic synergy of falling stars and moonlit nights will bring forth a truly magikal experience. An epic celebration of life, nature, ancient wisdom, sacred geometry, cosmic awareness, and community.

Dragon Stage ~ Morning Chillout Set by Scion

Amidst this tapestry of psytrance and visionary music, I’m honored to be playing under my artist alias Scion on the Dragon Stage—the more downtempo sanctuary of Magikana. Join me in the early morning hours for a chillout set that bridges the subtle energies of dawn with the rising sun. Expect a melodic journey through soothing, ethereal soundscapes that perfectly capture the Magikana spirit of renewal and connection.
